When the world was shutting up shop during the summer of 2008, we decided to start our PR consultancy firm in Dubai, UAE. We have survived the downturn and are raring to leap ahead in the world of communications.
The first challenge on hand seemed even bigger than the global economic crisis - the name. What should we call our firm and why. It was like naming a newborn baby. How would it reflect our personality and who we are? Will it ring a bell when people hear it? Finally, after mulling over several options, we decided to call ourselves – ‘White Water Public Relations’.

White Water PR is a vibrant workplace and not a boring 9-6 destination. We don’t believe in Sunday morning blues (we have a Friday - Saturday weekend in this part of the world). First we came across a book titled ‘You are what you eat’. Fine enough. Then we came across another book - ‘Eat what you love and love what you eat’. We found the title of the second book more appealing. Needless to say - we are foodies. We love to eat (we burn it out as well). We strongly believe in team luncheons which are a great way to bond and exchange non-agenda viewpoints.
Work Life balance is an art. It does take time for people to develop those set of skills. We are flexible and we like everyone to strike the right balance or else it won’t be fun anymore- in work or life. Simple.
This is a platform where we air our views and engage with our community. We have kept our blog crisp and to the point as we don’t like to beat around the bush.
The mission of ‘Water2022’, a not-for-profit initiative by White Water PR, is to save billions of litres of water in the next 10 years and generate awareness across the globe. We reached out to different communities in UAE on World Water Day on March 22nd 2013. This signature campaign was conducted to generate awareness amongst various communities and get them to make a promise and make a difference to the world in their own way.
